Note:  This is a blog of the pictures captured during our weekend at Rock on the Range 2011.  These are all the pictures that I couldn’t fit in the blogs about the music.  For more about the music, check out the blogs below.

Warming up on Friday night with some killer games of Kings.  Yes, I am still the world's greatest questionmaster.

Saturday Morning:  The definition of prepared for a concert tailgate.  We rocked that place.

Alright ladies.  It’s game time.  Let’s do this.  Everyone shotgun a beer:  its ROTR time.

All of us ready for some music!!

Asking Alexandria on the side stage.  One of the first bands to play, they were great, despite some technical difficulties.

Two Cents on the Jager Stage.  This guy gets MVP for me.  He was hilarious.

Sick Puppies live on the Main Stage.  For a three piece band, they had a ton of sound, and we were blown away by the bassist.  Overall, they were GREAT.

Black Veil Brides on the Jager Stage.  Good sound, but the makeup was a bit much for me.

It’s only the first day, and we already need a break.  Time for water and pizza.

Escape the Fate on the side stage.  Great Show.

Alter Bridge on the side stage.  I like their music, but their show didn’t really do anything for me.

After working our way up front for Korn, we think we’re ready.  Look how innocent we are.  We had no idea what was coming.

A quick glimpse backward to see how absolutely packed the place was.  Turns out that people like Korn.

A shot of Korn from side stage, where we were recovering after we bailed from the front of Korn’s show.

Don’t believe that it was crazy?  Watch the insanity of the crowd in the first 45 seconds.  NUTS.

And to finish off the first day, here’s a GREAT clip of A7X performing Nightmare.  Their show is just so effing good.

Day 2:  Great Defense in Baseball.  And yes, that’s a bottle of Apple Pie (made with Everclear)  courtesy of our Wisconsin friends.

Heck of a way to start Day 2.  10 Years playing Shoot it Out.

Art of Dying on the Jager Stage.  Lots of floppy hair and great rock..a great ROTR discovery.
Taking a break during Saving Abel in the stands.

Saving Abel on the main stage.  They always put on a better show than I anticipate they will.

A shot of Evans Blue (playing on the Jager Stage) from the rafters.   They sounded decent but I’d like to check them out up close.
All that Remains on the main stage.  Phil Labonte ROCKED this show.
The crew loving All that Remains.
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.  I wish I would have known more of their songs going in.  They sounded pretty good.

From the front of the Jager Stage looking backwards, during Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.  Such a cool stage crammed into the side of the arena.

BFMV.  Oh, how I love you.  My shoulder, however, does not.
One of the best shows all weekend.  A Day to Remember on the side stage.
Great clip of Scream. Aim. Fire.  Enjoy the music, and while you’re at it, if you know me, play Where’s Waldo.

Post EMT tent to get my shoulder checked.  I think I’ll catch the rest of the show in the back thank you very much.  At least Cory and I found these sweet glasses on the floor.
Disturbed, which was the last show that we caught that night.

And, we made it through another ROTR.  Afterwards, we decided to figure out what $90 worth of White Castle looks likes.  NINETY.  Ugh.

An end to a weekend filled with GREAT music, great friends, and all the laughs I can handle.  Cheers to all who made the journey with us, and hopefully these blogs served as a bit of encouragement to those who didnt! 🙂
